FAQ's including Terms and Conditions

Woods Girls Fabrics aims to have all the information on the website current and up to date, however we reserve the right to make changes and amend information at any time without notification. By making a purchase from Woods Girls, you accept the terms and conditions set out on our page.

 

RETAIL:

Retail is fabric that is currently in stock and ready to send. 
1) You can place an order from retail stock and your fabric will be sent within 48 hrs
2) If you make a selection from the retail and Pre-order range, your retail will be held until the Pre-order stock is ready to send, and they will be sent together.
3)If you can't wait for your retail and also want to order from Pre-order. You will have to make 2 separate orders and pay shipping on both.

Most retail fabric is sold in pre-cut lengths, this helps us get your order posted to you as quickly as possible. Available lengths will be shown per design.

FABRIC CONDITION:

We will take every care in inspecting fabric before it is sent, however due to the nature of digital prints, small flaws may occur. Print errors within 5cm of the selvage, or smaller than a 2.5cm square on the body of the fabric that does not impact the total usability of the fabric will not be treated as faulty and as such will be sent as a normal piece and will not be refunded or discounted.

We advertise the weight of our fabrics, but please allow a up to a 10% variation due to the printing process. Obviously a design that is basic white with a small random flower will not have as much ink used as a very dark design with lots of different patterns. This may also cause a slight difference to the feel of the fabric from one design to another. 

Slight colour variations may occur from one order to another, usually so slight it is not noticeable. We always recommend washing the fabric before sewing it to allow for any shrinkage, which could be between 3 - 10%. 100% Cotton fabrics (woven, double gauze) need to have the cut edges over locked before washing to stop fraying. Always wash like colours with like, and we suggest using colour catchers. It is recommended to use cold water, however, you can wash in warm water and warm tumble dry or line dry.

Do not use detergents that contain bleach or whiteners. 

Unfortunately due to the nature of cotton knit fabrics, curling on cut edges is a fact of life and totally normal and some shrinkage is normal. If a person can come up with an idea to stop this curling they will be very rich.. until then we just have to live with it and accept it.

We use digital graphics where-ever possible on the website to give as accurate colours as possible on the designs, however this may vary from screen to screen.

ORDERING:

All orders must be made through the website, we do not take any orders via email, messenger or phone.. Payments may be made via Paypal, Credit Card and Afterpay. This is an online business only, as such we do not have a shop front or pickup option.

With a variety of bases available, please double check that you have ordered the correct base before completing the order. 

If you want to make a change to your order, please contact us immediately, if we have not already packed it, we will try and accommodate you, however if is already packed/sent, we will not be able to change it for you. 

REFUNDS:

We do not offer refunds unless there is a major flaw in the fabric that we have missed or the unlikely scenario that we have sent the wrong fabric. Please take a photo and contact us immediately via email or direct message and we will try our best to sort it out for you with either a refund, replacement or gift voucher.

SHIPPING COSTS:

We offer Australia Post standard weights shipping costs Australia Wide, plus a small handling fee.  If you are outside Australia please contact us for shipping rates. Once your order is completed, you will be notified with a tracking number. We currently only use Australia Post.

Orders placed before 1pm we will do our best to get posted the same day, any orders placed after 1pm will be posted the following day, these include express post. 

We hold no responsibility for lost or delayed parcels once we have delivered them to the Post Office. You will be sent a confirmation email and your order will come with a tracking number for you to follow up with Australia Post. Unfortunately it is out of our hands.
